Bluebeam’s Global RallyCross driver Toomas “Topi” Heikkinen is gearing up for another big race at this weekend’s X Games in Barcelona, Spain. After claiming the silver medal at the X Games Brazil, Topi is looking for nothing less than a gold medal victory lap. Bluebeam to Participate in the Bentley LEARNing Conference

Bluebeam Heads Down Under for DesignBUILD Australia

G’day, mates! Today through May 10th Bluebeam is exhibiting at the DesignBUILD Australia Conference at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre Darling Harbour in Sydney.

DesignBUILD is Australia’s premiere building and construction event that brings together the Asia Pacific design community for a series of educational seminars and a look at the latest product innovations. For the first time, attendees will get a firsthand look at Revu 11 and how it addresses key digital project management and collaboration needs within Australia’s construction industry by enabling project teams to digitize traditionally paper-based workflows such as drawing reviews, estimates and inspections. Bluebeam Makes its Offshore Technology Conference Debut

Starting today, Bluebeam will be attending the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), the oil and gas industry’s biggest event of the year focused on the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production, and environmental protection.

For the first time, OTC attendees will have the unique opportunity to learn how Revu enables Project Engineers and their teams to digitize communication by electronically reviewing P&IDs with industry-standard annotations, tracking all markups in a list, storing project files online and collaborating in real time from a desktop, tablet PC or iPad with Bluebeam Studio. OTC will also be the first opportunity for oil and gas professionals to see a demo of Revu’s newest features that make it even easier than ever before to organize and access digital information in the field. Revu 11 Now Available in International Languages

Today, Bluebeam is releasing some updates to Bluebeam Revu 11, including the first round of international versions. Yep, Revu 11.1 is now available in Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian and German. Now Bluebeamers in these regions who have been waiting very patiently to get their hands on a local copy of the software can experience all of Revu 11’s newest features. Plus, later this month we will be releasing the Danish and Dutch versions followed by Spanish, French and Italian! Imponente!

But wait, there’s more! This release also includes plug-ins compatible with AutoCAD 2014, Revit 2014, Navisworks Manage 2014 and Navisworks Simulate 2014 for Revu CAD and Revu eXtreme. Bluebeam’s Swedish Rally Team Heads to Gotland

This weekend, Bluebeam’s Swedish Rally team will head to a two-day Rally event in Visby, Gotland, an exotic island in the Baltic Sea with a unique terrain made mostly of limestone, making the roads extremely hard and fast—perfect for rally racing without limits.

The multi-course race kicks off the rally circuit’s gravel season, with the first two races taking place this Friday evening. Bluebeam’s Swedish Rally team is especially excited about the third and final race that will take place on Saturday at Tofta,  considered to be among the most challenging rally racing courses in Sweden.

Bluebeam to Exhibit at BIM Show Live

Next week, Bluebeam is heading to Westminster, London to exhibit and network with the UK BIM community at BIM Show Live, a show dedicated to showcasing how architects, contractors, consultants and engineers are using new processes and technologies to leverage the potential of BIM.

Bluebeam will be on hand to show how project teams can use Revu’s 2D and 3D PDF creation and markup capabilities to share relevant BIM information to those downstream. Bluebeam will also be showing off some of Revu 11’s newest 3D features including the ability to convert IFC files to 3D PDFs and new 3D PDF viewing technology that project teams use to show how building elements fit together by isolating interior details of hard-to-reach models and manipulating individual objects.

BIM Show Live is taking place April 30th through May 1st at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel. If you’ll be at the event, make sure to stop by stand P6 located in the Software Lounge to introduce yourself and see what’s new!

Bluebeam’s Rallycross Driver Places 2nd at the Summer X Games in Brazil

This past weekend, Bluebeam rallycross driver Toomas “Topi” Heikkinen proved there are no limits to what he can do on the rallycross track! Sunday marked the first event of the 2013 Global Rallycross season – the Summer X Games in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. Topi showed up big time by finishing 2nd and winning the silver medal!
